Measures (from Sept 2016)Explanation
Attainment 8This measures the student’s average achievement across their best 8 subjects
Progress 8This is based on the students’ progress across 8 subjects (English and maths; 3 other EBacc. subjects, 3 further GCSE subjects).

A Progress 8 score with a ‘+’ next to it means that the score is significantly above the national average
% A*-C English & MathematicsThis shows the % of students who have achieved a higher grade (A*-C) in both English and mathematics. In the case of English, their best grade from English Language or English Literature will count.
% EBacc. This shows the % of students who have achieved higher grade passes (A*-C) across a core of five academic subjects - English Language, mathematics, history or geography, the sciences and a language
% entering EBacc. This shows the % of students who took up to 8 GCSEs or equivalents, across the 5 subject 'pillars' of English language and English literature, maths, sciences, a language and history or geography
