Open days

Open Evening is Thursday 26 September 2024, 6.00 – 8.15pm.

Open Day is Tuesday 1 October 2024, 9.15am – 12pm.

There is no need to book for either event. However we ask for your understanding if you cannot access particular areas of the school immediately as we will need to avoid over-crowding.

If you would like to visit the school at another time, please contact us (office@gillotts.org.uk) to arrange a tour.

In 2020, we offered live webinars on Thursday 24 September (evening) and Tuesday 29 September (during the school day).  You can view the recording of Thursday’s webinar here.  The webinar lasts approximately one hour: Headteacher’s speech (15 minutes),  Chair of Governors’ speech (3 minutes), questions and answers (30 minutes), SENDCo’s presentation (15 minutes).

To add to the virtual experience, we created a suite of online materials.

Our Head Students have made a movie to give you a tour of the subjects we teach at Gillotts.  Our Assistant Headteacher explains our approach to Teaching and Learning.

You can hear three of our Year 8 students talking about being new, Covid changes and lessons at Gillotts.

The House Captains will tell you more about the pastoral support and the Sports Captains – well, they will tell you about sport!

You can have a virtual tour of the site, including a drone flyover recorded by one of our Year 11 students.  You can also have virtual tours of Art and Science – always highlights of a ‘real’ visit. There is some additional information for parents of students with special educational needs.
