Under My Skin by Pegasus Theatre

On Tuesday 1st March as part of the Oxfordshire Public Health campaign to improve young people’s mental well-being, Gillotts Year 8 students were invited to watch a performance of Under My Skin presented by Pegasus Theatre. The play explored emotions, stress, anxiety and low moods. It’s aim was to get people talking about mental health and to identify support methods such as School Nurse and School Counsellors and other local and national services. The students behaved exceptionally well and post production completed an evaluation form. Feedback was that they found the production extremely informative and they enjoyed the Q&A with the actors after the performance. We would like to say a big Thank you to Pegasus for a stimulating and thought provoking production, helping to remove the stigma that surrounds mental health. It was a positive experience for all.
