Anti-bullying charter
Gillotts School Anti-Bullying Charter: A Student-Led Initiative
At Gillotts, we believe that an effective anti-bullying culture is one built and owned by the students themselves. We are proud to present our new Anti-Bullying Charter, the result of six months of dedicated work by our Student Council.
While the school’s formal policy provides the necessary procedural framework, this charter translates those principles into a clear, everyday code of conduct. By empowering our students to lead the design and wording, we ensure the language is relatable and the expectations are those the students truly value.
Why this Charter matters:
- Student Authority: It signals that kindness and respect are not just “rules,” but the collective values of our entire student body.
- Belonging & Safety: It is designed to foster a deep sense of connectedness, ensuring every student feels safe and seen.
- Accessible Guidance: It serves as a friendly, practical guide on how students can support one another daily.
We encourage all parents and carers to review the charter with their children to help reinforce these shared values.
